Sight & Sound Theatres Brings Epic Musical Stage Drama "Moses" To Big Screen For Two Days, Sept. 13 & Sept. 15
The epic musical drama "Moses" from Sight & Sound Theatres is coming to cinemas nationwide for two days on Sept. 13 and Sept. 15 via Fathom Events. Filmed in front of a live audience, the original stage production has been seen by nearly two million theatergoers at Sight & Sound's theaters in Lancaster, Penn, and Branson, Mo.
"The burning bush, the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea and the Ten Commandments-the story of 'Moses' is massive," Executive Producer Josh Enck says. "But at its heart, this is an intimate story of the man who climbed a mountain to meet God."
In addition to the impressive theatrical production, movie audiences will get a behind-the-scenes look at the 40-year history of Sight & Sound Theatres, whose live stage shows have been seen by over 23 million visitors worldwide.
"Moses" tells the epic story of Moses in the Bible, the unlikely hero set adrift on the Nile River as an infant and wandering the wilderness until God calls him into action. From the Nile River to the Red Sea, moviegoers journey with Moses as he leads God's people on an amazing adventure toward the Promised Land.
"This high-quality production of 'Moses' will be a thrilling experience for [moviegoers] of all ages," Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt says. "We are excited to bring another Sight & Sound event to movie theaters that displays the unique multi-dimensional detail put into their titles."
"Moses" marks the second time Sight & Sound brings one of its productions from the stage to the big screen. In 2017 the live entertainment company launched a limited run of "Jonah" in movie theaters nationwide.
