Thirty three year old Sienna Miller, who has been seen without her engagement ring over the past few months has broken up with her fiance of three years,

Tom Sturridge, who is twenty nine years old. According to an insider, the couple's split was amicable.

"Tom and Sienna split a few weeks ago, but still love and respect each other as friend and parents," an insider said in a statement to The Sun. "It's a very amicable break up and they intend to remain great friends."

The split comes two months after Miller was seen without her ring at Cannes Film Festival, which sparked rumors that the engagement was over.

The pair took a trip earlier this month to Ibiza with their daughter, Marlowe, who is thee years old.

She was born six months after they announced their engagement. During their four year relationship, the couple did not have any problem showing off their affection for one another.

They enjoyed engaging in public displays of affection for the paparazzi, and even appeared together in an advertising campaign for Burberry, the British designer brand.

In an interview last year, Miller spoke very fondly of Sturridge.

"He's the perfect balance to my lunacy, which makes him sound really boring, but he's not at all," said Miller in a statement to Daily Mail.

Fans certainly did not see this split coming, but are happy that it was not a nasty break up, and that the couple will remain friends, as this is good news for their young daughter.
