'Shin Megami Tensei IV' Final Release Date News: US Version Titled 'Apocalypse' Coming In Summer 2016
Good news for "Shin Megami Tensei IV," as a western version is being planned by Atlus, dubbed "Apocalypse," to hit US later this year.
According to rumors, Amazon has already ordered "Shin Megami Tensei 4" which will reportedly come out on Sept. 20.
Actually, an easter version of "Shin Megami Tensei IV" called "Final" was already released in Japan on Feb. 10.
"The story of Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse overlaps with the plot of the original Shin Megami Tensei IV. The combat in this JRPG should be familiar to hardcore fans of the series as players can obtain 450 demons (either by recruiting them or as a result of fusion) for fights. In the battles, you can boost attributes, exploit enemy weaknesses in addition to using the returning Press Turn and Smirking mechanics from the prior game," Game Idealist reported.
In other news, Techno Buffalo, there are several features of the "Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse."
Players can now partner with one of the seven players, along with the three demons, to battle. And they need every help they can get considering the massive number of opponents.
"Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse has a series record 450+ demons to fight, fuse, or recruit to player parties. With demons from a wide selection of cultures and religions to choose from, players will be able to customize their party to their liking," it said.
Users can also fuse two or more demons into a more powerful partner, but this creates a challenge on its own because they need to know which skills to blend in order to come up with an effective ally in "Shin Megami Tensei 4," according to the news report.
