One of the most viewed talk shows on ABC, 'The View' is definitely on for a new journey especially since it is taking in new members and letting go of some great ones as well. Just after the recently announced exit of Rosie Perez, Michelle Collins joins the hit talk show and discusses the possibility to more people in in the future.

Just recently, Collins was officially named as the new co-host of The View after Perez' recent exit. Collins, happy about her current role on the show is open to have more brilliant and even funny minds on the table next to her from time to time as there have been rumors circulating claiming tahat Sherri Shepherd might also appear on certain episodes.

It has been rumored that Shepherd might be taken in as one of the many contributors who will co-host in the show from time to time and new co-host Collins is excited about the idea. "Who wouldn't be happier to sit next to Sherri Shepherd?" Collins told E! News last Monday in an interview. "She's the funniest...I've never met her and would love to meet her and work with her," she added.

And so as another season starts this coming September 19, Collins will now be part of the program that also stars Raven Symone and Nicole Wallace. And just in time, Creator and Executive producer Barbara Walters praised the new co-host as she takes on a seat at one of the most talked about and well-opinionated show. "Michelle Collins brings a fantastic energy and a keen sense of humor to the program," Walters said in a statement adding, "Michelle can be both outrageous and thoughtful. She is a welcome addition to The View panel with her intelligence, quick wit and vast knowledge of pop culture."
