'Sherlock' Season 4 News, Cast: Sacha Dhawan, Toby Jones Going To Join Cast

Another actor is reportedly joining the cast of "Sherlock" season 4 as a man named AJ, and he is none other than Sacha Dhawan.

While the news has yet to be confirmed by the BBC network, fans believe there is a huge possibility that this could be true since Dhawan has already worked with "Sherlock" co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss in some previous projects.

Last May, it was confirmed that 49-year-old actor Toby Jones will play one of the major antagonists in season 4. The mystery villain of the upcoming season was last seen portraying a scientist on FOX's popular series "Wayward Pines." He also appeared in "The Hunger Games" and the two "Captain America" films.

In a statement, Gatiss expressed his excitement over Jones' role in "Sherlock."

"We're very thrilled to welcome one of our finest actors to the Sherlock family. I know Toby will embrace the part with true relish!" he said.

Moffat added, "Delighted to have Toby Jones on board, bringing to life one of Doyle's finest villains."

Jones himself also said in an interview that he was both excited and intrigued by the role he will play in the series. A website recently revealed that he will bring to life Culverton Smith, who originally appeared in "The Adventure of the Dying Detective" that was written in 1913.

In the book, his character was described as "small, frail, twisted, but with a double chin, high bald head, and menacing grey eyes."

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Detective Holmes next season.
