'Shark Tank' New Cast News: Ashton Kutcher Joins as Guest Star for New Season 7 Episodes

Ashton Kutcher has been confirmed for a new role in the seventh season of the ABC hit series, Shark Tank.

Kutcher, who is 37 years old, will appear on the show as a "guest shark" for a limited amount of time.

The series will premiere on September 25th, but Kutcher's debut on the show has not been specified as yet.

A source revealed exclusively to TV Line that Kutcher has signed on to the television show.

This move may be surprising for those fans of Kutcher who have become more accustomed to seeing him in sillier roles such as his roles in Two and a Half Men, and Dude, Where's My Car?.

It actually is not such a stretch, as in recent years Kutcher has been becoming quite the investor.

In the past few years, Kutcher has invested in several tech companies, which include foursquare, Airbnb, Fab.com and Skype.

He also was a part of a mock Shark Tank discussion at Colgate University in 2014, so he is clearly the right guy to fill this position.

Ashton's role comes shortly behind the other recent announcement that he will be starring in a Netflix series, The Ranch.

The show will drop on the site at some point in 2016 and will reunite Kutcher with his former 'That 70s Show' co-star, Danny Masterson.

Simply put, Kutcher has a very exciting year planned for him.

This is compared to the year that he has had so far, in which he welcomed his and fiancé Mila Kunis' baby into the world, and stood firm for the rights of the baby in terms of privacy from the prying eyes of the media.
