'Shameless' Season 5 News, Spoilers: Ian's Depression, Debbie's Problems

'Shameless', the Showtime series, has gained a lot of attention since its debut as it depicts the story of Frank Gallagher, a single father of six children. The show's producers began developing the drama to show America what alcoholism can do to a family.

The show's popularity is pretty is clear as HBO has recently confirmed that 'Shameless' will be returning to the air for Season 5.

William H. Macy, the actor for Frank, said, "I went all the way from completely sloppily inebriated to just a little buzzed. [Now] it's just fantastic to be clear-eyed, even if it is sometimes through a narcotic haze."

Fans of the show will be happy to hear that it looks like Frank is really shaping up for the better.

On that note, spoilers reveal that Fiona will have a lot more boy trouble in the upcoming season. She will also be wrestling with her house arrest, but at least she has her completely non-romantic, friendly relationship with her boss to lean on (right?).

Lip is doing well and has made it through his first year of college. But he's facing a bit of a romance dilemma of his own when his girlfriend asks if they should see other people over the summer.

Ian is living with Mickey and Mandy, who are trying to help him deal with his depression. When Ian encounters a Westboro Baptist-like church, the three are drawn into a wicked, convoluted plan for revenge.

Debbie is going through serious puberty, and her bond with Frank seems to be foreshadowed by some unfortunate events. Fiona tries to help Debs, but she may accidentally trigger a different side to little Debbie over the season.

Last but not least, Carl and Liam have the least drama of this season, but they will serve as the much needed support for the rest of the show's characters.
