Shakira Pregnant With Second Baby? Carlos Vives Sparks Rumors, But Gerard Pique Yet to Confirm

Rumors surrounding Shakira's pregnancy of a second child with boyfriend Gerard Pique started spreading after her performance at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Brazil. Also, several news sources reported that singer Carlos Vives fueled the speculation, but the celebrity couple has yet to confirm or deny anything.

Colombia-born Shakira (real name Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll) is a mother to 11-month old son, Milan, by boyfriend Pique, who is a soccer player for Barcelona. The "Waka-Waka" singer is quoted last year saying, "If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already. I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard -- my own soccer team."

A recent report stemming from statements made by singer Carlos Vives hinted that he knew something fans didn't. However, according to a Televisa reporter, Vives might have been taken out of context when he said, "(If) she is pregnant, what a blessing."

Shakira, 37, and Pique, 27, met four years ago when the singer-songwriter performed "Waka Waka" in South Africa for a music video. During the "La La La" (Brazil 2014) performance, Gerard's sweetheart performed alongside percussionist and singer Carlinhos Brown. She was wearing a red striped dress that concealed her tad pudgy tummy. Shakira also wore a rather conservative outfit in one of her photo engagements, which might leave some fans wondering.

Again, nothing about Shakira's second pregnancy at the moment has been officially announced, but fans can always hope.
