Shakira Leaving 'The Voice' After Season 4, Christina Aguilera Returns / 'American Idol' 2013 Set to Fire Judges Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey [VIDEO]

As American Idol prepares to fire it's four judges (Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey), competing reality singing show The Voice will also lose Colombian singer Shakira.

According to reports, Shakira will leave The Voice to start working on her eighth studio album. Though it's shocking for her to leave after only one season, Shakira is a brand new mother and probably wants to spend more time with her baby, Milan Pique Mebarak.

Who's going to take Shakira's red chair? A genie in a bottle, that's who.

Christina Aguilera is allegedly returning to The Voice, joining Adam Levine, Usher and Blake Shelton. Aguilera left the show after three seasons to focus on her latest album, Lotus.

Just a couple channels away, American Idol is hanging on for dear life. After a huge dip in ratings, Idol producers are reportedly wiping the slate clean firing the four exisiting judges, along with Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. Producers firing producers...that's showbiz baby.

Fox has yet to confirm the reports but Randy Jackson did admit to leaving the show after twelve seasons on the panel.

Soon to be ex Idol judge Mariah Carey spoke to Barbara Walters about her constant feud with fellow judge Nicki Minaj, and how the Idol workplace was unprofessional and not something she needed to put up with anymore.

"It felt like an unsafe work environment. Anytime anybody's reeling threats at somebody, you know, it's not appropriate. I'm a professional. I'm not used to that type of environment," Carey said.

Though it will be sad to not see Shakira's warm, smiling face on The Voice Season 5, at least your not in sinking with the ship that is American Idol 2013.

Who knows maybe American Idol will have a spin-off show where washed up celebrities compete to be Season 13's judges. Just an idea.
