It looks like the Shadowhunters are set to remain challenged as they stop Valentine in the season finale of "Shadowhunters." Also, the series has been renewed for a second season.

"Shadowhunters" season 1 episode 13, entitled "Morning Star," serves as the season finale for the series. The hunt is on and the time is running out for the Shadowhunters to halt Valentine in his plans, according to Spoilers Guide.

The episode will also see Jace, who is still thinking about everything that has taken place, list tracking down Valentine as the first item on his list and continue with his battle against his ambivalent emotions.

Aside from Jace's internal and external battles, episode 13 will see Clary and Simon's exploits on finding the key to help Jocelyn, who is in coma. While obtaining the key resolves the problem involving Jocelyn, unlocking the spell may also lead to reversing the Downworlder peace treaty, in addition to Simon and Raphael's dynamics and the fate of the vampire clan.

Truth is a major theme of the upcoming episode 11 of "Shadowhunters" season 1. Entitled "Blood Calls to Blood," episode 11 is set to feature Clary and Jace's attempt to save Jocelyn, along with the aid of their new Ally, Luke. According to the synopsis, the trio are set to work hand in hand in order to save Jocelyn and take down Valentine for good.

"Shadowhunters" has also been renewed for a second season, according to Variety. As per the publication, the update was revealed on Mar. 14 during a live question and answer on Facebook.

"Shadowhunters" season 1 episode 13, "Morning Star," is set to air on Apr. 5 while episode 11, "Blood Calls to Blood," airs on Mar. 22.
