'Shadowhunters' Season 2 Premiere News, Rumors: New Season To Tackle Brother-Sister Dynamics?

"Shadowhunters" season 2 is set to feature a growing brother and sister relationship, along with a set of new episodes.

Executive producer and showrunner Ed Decter has revealed his thoughts on what fans can expect from "Shadowhunters" season 2. In his interview with TV Line, Decter said that while Clary and Jacy were sister and brother, despite the fact that they had some odd feelings, they were chaste. He also mentioned that there was a moment with the Seelie Queen, but that was a little different.

For Decter, Clary and Jacy were definitely confused as to why they felt this way, which was a huge point of tension in the books.

In season 1, Clary and Jacy learned that they were siblings and with their newfound knowledge, it is unclear on how their relationship will progress and impact themselves and the people surrounding them.

Decter also mentioned Jacy's fate in "Shadowhunters" season 2, revealing that it was not going to be leaning to brightness. He said that fans should be very worried about Jace, since he was about to take a "very dark" journey.

In other news, "Shadowhunters" actress Katherine McNamara, who plays the role of Clary in the series, revealed the number of episodes fans could expect from the second season of the hit television series.

We'll be back soon with 20 episodes for season 2 @shadowhunterstv! Xx" Hence, season 2 has more episodes than the first season, which only had 13.

In "Shadowhunters" season 1 finale, Jace made hunting Valentine his first priority, despite of battling his inner conflicts. Then, Clary and Simon searched the key to resolbe Jocelyn's coma. Also, Alec faced the consequence of his decision and its impact on his future.
