'Shadowhunters' Season 2 Premiere Date, Spoilers, News: Storyline Stays Same To Source Material; Set For 2017 Release
In line with Freeform's hit television series"Shadowhunters," season 1 has concluded while season 2 is rumored to have a strict iteration when it returns to the small screen.
According to Bustle, "Shadowhunters" season 2 is set to encompass more details from its source material. As per the publication, the upcoming season could center on Luke's werewolf pack, which could also set up the path to knowing Maia, the young werewolf who likes Simon. Also, season 2 could also explore more about the distorted paternal dynamics of Jace and Valentine.
"Shadowhunters" season 2 could also feature the Seelie Court from the "City of Ashes," as the first season introduced Meliorn to the fans, as per the publication. In addition, the upcoming season could also present some story arcs coming from "City of Glass," which includes the protagonist's endeavor to Idris, the homeland of the Shadowhunters.
While "Shadowhunters" season 1 has just concluded on Apr. 5, the second season has already been rumored to hit the small screen in 2017, according to Carter Matt. As per the publication, seeing the characters in a new adaptation several months from now seems logical, since there are much details to cover from the source material.
"Shadowhunters" left fans and viewers with season 1 episode 13, which is entitled "Morning Star." According to Spoilers Guide, the Shadowhunters had to stop Valentine and Jace made hunting down the villain the top of his priority list, not to mention that he also had to battle his inner dilemmas. Clary and Simon must search for the key to unlock Jocelyn's comatose state while Alec must face the aftermath of his decisions.
"Shadowhunters" season 1 ended on Apr. 5 while season 2 is set to premiere in 2017.
