Seth Gilliam News: 'Walking Dead' Actor Arrested for DUI, Reckless Driving & Marijuana Possession
Seth Gilliam, actor who plays Father Gabriel on AMC's hit television show, The Walking Dead, was arrested by police on Sunday for DUI, speeding and possession of marijuana.
For those that may not know, the actor also played the role of a police officer on the television show, The Wire. He was pulled over in Peachtree City, cited for driving at 107 mph in a 55 mph zone. When he was pulled over, police reports say, the officer smelled alcohol on him.
Apparently, Gilliam attempted to defend himself by saying that he was driving a rental vehicle, and he was used to driving a Jeep. However, the police did not find this a just reason.
The police report states that when he was asked whether or not he had been drinking, he did admit to having had three beers as well as a shot.
He then failed the sobriety tests and took a breathalyzer test, which revealed his blood alcohol level to be 0.107.
The police also found a joint in a cigarette box hidden in the arm rest of his vehicle after a search, and they confiscated it from his car.
The Walking Dead actor was charged for reckless driving, speeding, DUI and possession of marijuana.
He was then taken into police custody and kept in Fayette County Jail. He was released after posting his bond, which was set at $9,818.
This incident occurs only a few days after Gilliam's co star on The Walking Dead Chad L. Coleman had an incident. The actor, who played Tyrese on the series had an episode on a New York City Subway Train.
On a side note, 'The Walking Dead' season 6 began filming on Monday in Senoia, Georgia.
