'Serious Sam VR' Release Date, Trailer: Early Access Set To Come Out October 17
In line with Croteam's "Serious Sam VR," the game is set to reach early access in the next half of October.
Game developer Croteam announced the release date of the game in early access. On Oct. 3, it wrote on Twitter "Serios Sam VR from @Croteam launches on Vive and Steam Early Access October 17! Wishlist now and get serious!"
According to PC Gamer, the game is assumed to be in early access around six months, with the complete installment, to feature more planets, foes, weapons, and leaders, in addition with a skill tree and many more. As per the publication, players will need an HTC Vive to play it, along with a tough stomach, since things may explode into "gory bits" before their eyes.
In the game, players are set to lead the resistance against the Mental alien forces in the initial Mental War. In a press release statement, as cited by Upload VR, Croteam said that for the first time, players were set to immerse themselves in the universe of "Serious Sam," where they can travel the universe, encounter some aliens, and blow them all in a "fast-paced, guns-blazin' virtual reality environment."
According to Tom's Hardware, the game is not a "run-and-gun" shooter. As per the publication, the game motions restrict the present VR hardware, so the studio structured the game as a stationary wave shooter, instead of an open world FPS shooter.
Developed by Croteam, "Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope" was initially released in September. The game's early access is set to come out on Oct. 17.
