Selena Gomez New Music News: Singer Raps ASAP Rocky’s Verse [VIDEO]
It's pretty clear that the "The Good for You" singer, Selena Gomez, has taken to rap music. Appearing on a radio chat show recently, the pop singer set her inner rap goddess free and did a wonderful job rapping.
According to a report in IB Times, when the 23-year-old pop singer appeared on 102.7 KIIS FM, the radio DJ JoJo Wright asked Gomez if she can rap A$AP Rocky's verse from their "Good for You" collaboration. At first, the pop starlet seemed to be stunned by Wright's request, but she instantly changed her mind and said that she was all set for it. However, Gomez's biggest concern was whether the channel will bleep the swearing language she would be using in her rap.
Gomez immediately started rapping the verse "You know you look good girl, don't you know you look good girl," and even used the four letter word. In order to make things seem authentic, the singer also threw her hands up in the air like a real rapper and also modified her voice modulation. Gomez appeared in an all black shirt and pants on the show.
In the meantime, the former Disney star is also preparing for the release of her latest album, "Revival," in October. "The album is so different," she said during a recent radio interview with The Toby Knapp Show, adding, "There are so many different kinds of music on the record, so I'm excited for people to hear everything." Her new song, "Good For You" will appear on "Revival."
Besides, Gomez has written another song titled, "Same Old You" for the album, and has also penned down one more song about kindness. The album's title "Revival" refers to the "the rebirth of Selena," Gomez said during another recent interview with Ryan Seacrest. The album will be scheduled on Oct. 9.
