Along with Emma's return, Audrey is hiding some secrets in "Scream" season 2. Also, the upcoming MTV series has unveiled three characters, along with the new killer.

In the trailer, it is seen that Audrey is making an effort to conceal her connection to the killer, though it is revealed that somebody knows about it and is stalking her. Aside from Audrey, Brooke and Jake seem to have their secret as well, as evidenced by their brewing romance, which they continuously hide from the former's father.

With Emma returning to Lakewood in the series, the trailer also revealed three characters - Zoe, Gustavo, and Troy. According to TV Line, Zoe is portrayed as a "major over-achiever" who also has a major secret to hide while Gustavo is described as a dark and brooding outsider with a profound appreciation for horror matters. Meanwhile, Troy is revealed as Brandon James' brother, as per Hollywood Life.

In line with the killer, the trailer sees Noah try to learn more information about the murders. And since Audrey is reportedly attached to the killer, it is assumed that "Scream" season 2 will see a threat to their friendship. It is speculated that the new killer is one of Emma's friends or possibly, it could be her, according to Hollywood Life.

"Scream" season 2 begins with its first episode, which is entitled "Welcome Back" and is set to be aired on May 30. Exact details on its story plot concerning Will's attacker, Audrey's connection to the killer, and the possibility of meeting other killers, are yet to be revealed.
