'Scream' Season 2 News, Preview: Masked Killer Chasing Emma and New Group of Teens?

MTV has just released its cryptic promo teaser for "Scream" season 2, and it seems that it is going to dig up on mysteries itching to be unveiled, including the community's tragic past.

"What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town's troubled past. So thirsty for blood, we're coming back sooner than expected," says the promo video.

While the teaser does not reveal much about the upcoming season, it is petrifying enough to suggest that it is going to be more blood-curdling than ever, especially with the presence of a crazed and masked killer stalking and chasing Emma.

It can be remembered that in the previous season, Emma found herself retreating following the series of harrowing events that fell upon her. The sophomore season will follow her as she comes back to the radar and turns from a heroine into a victim leading a group of new teens.

In the clip, the teens are seen struggling to get away from the creepy killer. As Noah tries to break through a door, two other new faces move towards the lake in the dead of night and the masked killer squints at the window.

In other news, "Scream" season 2 will introduce two new faces, including Michael Gans and Richard Register, who will replace former showrunners Jill Blotevogal and Jaime Pagliahave from season 1.

Titled "Trust Nothing," the next episode of "Scream" season 2 airs on May 30 on MTV.
