Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Happy (Jadyn Wong) are set to have a more complex relationship in "Scorpion" season 3. On the other hand, Walter (Elyes Gabel) is set to struggle with his feelings for Paige (Katharine McPhee).

Thomas shared his thoughts on what fans could expect from his character's story arc in "Scorpion" season 3. In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor said that he was excited for the season 3 premiere to see how the fallout of the season finale was played out amongst the team because what had happened with Toby and Happy had big ramifications.

It is revealed that next season will see Walter (Elyes Gabel) on his road to recovery from a heartbreak. The character opted to confide his true feelings for Paige, but the latter was already gone for a vacation with Tim (Scott Porter).

Thomas also teased the future of the Waige love team. In the same interview, he said that there were so many questions, wants, and needs for Walter, Paige, Happy, and Toby being opened up and it was really exciting. For the actor, he was so grateful that they had clever writers who were listening to the fans and staying true to their original vision for the show.

"Scorpion" executive producer Nick Santora revealed some key points on Walter and Paige's story arc in the show's third season. In his interview with TV Line, Santora said that they could not promise that the characters were going to be holding hands and running through a valley of golden flowers together in the first episode of season 3.

"But at the same time, the Waige relationship will always be there," Santora said.

"Scorpion" season 3 is expected to return in the second half of 2016.
