'Scandal' Season 4 Finale Recap Spoilers: Olivia & Fitz Finally Reunite
The season four finale of Scandal left fans with a big cliffhanger, but also a happy ending. The Gladiators were able to take down B613, even though things did not go exactly according to plan.
Olivia Pope made her final decision about her love life, and Mellie Grant won the election but lost her marriage.
The episode begins with Mellie speaking to Rowan who poses as a billionaire donor.
However, after a little while he gets to the point, telling her that he will blackmail her and expose the secret operation Remington and her hook ups with the vice president if she does not give him a list of names.
At the same time, the grand jury proceedings on B613 appeared to be going well.
Shortly, however, it was revealed that all of the grand jurors had been massacred and the court papers were all destroyed, leaving no evidence that B613 had ever even existed.
Olivia asked her mother for some help with taking down Command, and getting nothing, she decided to report Rowan to the CIA.
Fitz threw Mellie a part on the eve of Election Day and told her that he had been taking her for granted. However, the next day while Mellie was giving her victory speech, Liz told Fitz about how she was responsible for the assassination of the jurors.
Mellie and Cyrus celebrate her win, and talk about her plans to become president, but Fitz tells her that he is angry about what she did and fires her and Cyrus, hiring Liz as his chief of staff.
The episode ended with Olivia waiting to surprise Fitz on the White House balcony, where the two shared a kiss.
