Sarah Jessica Parker Divorce News: Matthew Broderick Wife to Lead New HBO Comedy Series
Jokes and rumors are running rampant about the state of Sarah Jessica Parker's own relationship with her beloved, Matthew Broderick, as she has reportedly started making a television show entitled, 'Divorce' for HBO.
The half-hour comedy is still awaiting a formal green light for its pilot, but it is going to tell the story of a couple going through "a very, very long divorce." The project is being written by Sharon Horgan, a British writer and actress.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'Divorce' is about a middle-aged woman who attempts to divorce her husband, but then cannot go through with it. Eventually, her husband discovers that she has been having an affair, and calls the marriage off, thus beginning a circular divorce process.
For those that don't know about the horrors of all the processes involved in a long divorce, here are a few of the basic steps divorcees have to go through in addition to the straining physically, mentally, and dealing with all the emotional toil.
1. Legal Separation means that you are married, but you do not live with your spouse.
2. Then "Original Petition for Divorce" is filled out with a lawyer or court clerk.
3. Divorce Court is the final step, when your marriage is deemed as having no chance for recovery and it is time to move on.
The divorce process is a seemingly endless one, but that doesn't stop Parker from bringing some humor to a painful situation. While Sarah Jessica Parker is not getting divorced in real life, her sweet sense of humor will help Parker add laughter to the new series, and her thoughtfulness will assuredly make her role feel real.
The comedy television show will also feature stars Aaron Kaplan, Paul Simms, and Alison Benson.
