Sanctus Real Celebrates 'Changed' Album Success, Launches 8-Day Devotional With YouVersion Bible App
Following the release of their latest album Changed on April 27, Christian rock group Sanctus Real has managed to impact radio and enjoyed acclaim from both fans and critics. The band's eighth studio album, Changed is the follow-up to the 2014 record Dream, and features a reformed lineup following the departure of original frontman Matt Hammitt, who left the group in 2015 to prioritize family.
Featured in outlets such as CCM Magazine, All Access, CBA Market, a guest blog, as well as with an in-depth interview on the Song Revolution podcast, the band latest effort has reached a wide audience. Currently, they have appearances scheduled for upcoming issues of FCA Magazine and Charisma Magazine.
Speaking about the release of Changed, lead guitarist Chris Rohman shares, "In so many ways we had to work harder on this album than anything we've ever done! The idea of this being a new beginning for the band, and all without a major label, for us meant that we'd have this one opportunity to show everyone who we are now. We couldn't be more excited for what this release represents for us as a band and how these songs are already making an impact with both new and old fans alike."
The band's latest single "Confidence" continues to grow at radio and is currently climbing into Top 30 on Billboard's Monitored chart. The lead single and title track on the album, "Changed," was released last fall and debuted several weeks early to help raise money to support the community of Rockport, Texas, which was one of the first towns to be hit by the devastating Hurricane Harvey.
Recently wrapping up a 16-city headlining tour, where the band played new songs from Changed as well as Sanctus Real fan favorites, the band has partnered with the YouVersion Bible App for an eight-day devotional available now on iOS and Android smartphones as well as online here.
