San Diego Comic Con 2015 News: Sony, Paramount, Marvel Studios to Skip Event
Although San Diego Comic Con is an important event for several media giants, as they use this place to promote their programs. However, it appears that this time many media giants are planning to skip the event.
According to IB Times, Marvel Studios has already announced that they will stay away from Comic Con this year. Now, Sony Pictures and Paramount too have decided against holding any panels at 2015 Comic Con.
Nevertheless, Sony and Paramount have confirmed that their decision is not meant denigrate the Comic Con, but they actually do not have enough materials to present before the fans at the upcoming convention.
On the other hand, Marvel Studios had organized their personal show at the El Capitan theatre in Los Angeles after last year's Comic Con, where they work out the schedules for phase three of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even this year, Marvel is expected to do the same, and when they do organize the Marvel Con, fans can expect exclusive clips as well as information on 'Captain America: Civil War,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' and other projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Even though Marvel Cinematic Universe will be staying away from the event, Marvel TV will be attending San Diego Comic Con 2015. Below is the time schedule for all the Marvel TV show panels:
Saturday, 11 July
'Marvel's Agent Carter'
The cast signing event at 10.00 a.m. at Marvel Booth #2329 will be attended by actress Hayley Atwell, James D'Arcy, and executive producers Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Chris Dingess, Louis D'Esposito and Jeph Loeb.
Marvel Animation Presents
Panel session to continue from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at Room 6BCF and it will offer behind-the scenes information about Marvel Animation.
'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD'
The cast signing event will begin at 2.30 p.m. at Marvel Booth #2329 and it will be attended by Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, Adrianne Palicki, Henry Simmons and Luke Mitchell, in addition to executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon and Jeph Loeb.
Fans will require tickets to attend both the signing events and passes will be given on a first-come, first-serve lottery basis at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, at the Marvel Booth #2329.
