The San Francisco 49ers will face the San Diego Chargers on December 20 at Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, California.

The 49ers (7-7) are attempting to avoid a possible four game losing streak when they defend their home field against the Chargers on Saturday night.

Recently, San Francisco lost the Seahawks by a final score of 17-7, where QB Colin Kaepernick went 11-19 for 141 yards in addition to being sacked by Seattle's defense a whopping six times on December 14.

"Regardless of the situation, we're going out to win," said Kaepernick to reporters.

"There's no one on this team that's going to step on that field and say, 'Hey, our season is over. We're not going out to compete.' We're going to compete until the end."

Meanwhile, the Chargers (8-6) are trying to prevent a potential three game losing streak when they battle the 49ers at Levi's Stadium.

"We've got two big games coming up, and we've got to turn our focus to that," said San Diego wide receiver Eddie Royal to reporters.

"That will be a great time to get going."

The Chargers defeated to their AFC West rivals Denver Broncos by a final score of 22-10 this past Sunday, a game where San Diego QB Phillip Rivers went 24-41 for 232 yards with a touchdown pass and two interceptions in the loss.

"There's no doubt it hurts," said Rivers to reporters in reference to his wide receiver Keenan Allen not playing in the upcoming matchup versus the 49ers.
