The Spurs look to extend the best record in the NBA when they battle a worthy opponent tonight, the Houston Rockets. The Spurs defeated the Phoenix Suns by the final score of 112-104 on Friday night. Danny Green scored 33 points to lead the Spurs to the victory three nights ago. The Spurs are currently leading the Oklahoma City Thunder by 4 games for the top record in the NBA. The Spurs are currently on a two game winning streak.
"It's a big plus," said Green to reporters. "It's not something we were focused on, but we know it will help us. We'll be at home for most of the playoffs. The biggest thing for us is to stay healthy and to build chemistry. Winning games in the process helps and we get home-court advantage. That's just the extra bonus for us."
The Rockets recently defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by the final score of 111-104 on Saturday. James Harden totaled 33 points and 13 assists to lead the Rockets to the victory two days ago.
The Rockets are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference standings, and are looking to extend their winning streak to two games.
"We needed this win more than anything," said Harden to reporters.
