Samsung Project Valley Rumors: Next Handset from Tech Titan Packs Foldable, Dual Screen?

South Korean tech titan Samsung has already filed several patents relating to dual screen and foldable smartphones as well as tablets. Now it appears that the company is really interested in utilizing this technology and recent reports state that Samsung may incorporate a number of such exciting technologies in its purported Project Valley smartphone.

Quoting SamMobile, Tech Radar reports that the Project Valley is currently in its initial stages of development. Moreover, the project is of a highly ambitious nature. These could be some of the reasons why the tech enthusiasts may not see the fruits of this project very soon, provided they see it at all.

It is interesting to note that the Project Valley is basically a device that will boast dual screens that can be interchanged between using several gestures.

On the other hand, the hint that Project Valley may come with a foldable device actually stems from previous comments made by Samsung that the company may possibly release such a handset by 2016. In fact, the purported device is also called Project V and the 'V' appears to be somewhat like a folding device.

While this may be stretching matters a litter far, so it is advisable that you should take the foldable screen part with a pinch of salt. Nevertheless, Samsung has given enough hints that it is investing in this revolutionary technology.

An earlier report in Tech Radar states that there are rumors that Samsung's next flagship smartphone, purportedly called Samsung S7 and the Galaxy Note 5 may have curved screens. However, with the Samsung S6 being released just some days back, it is difficult to come by worthwhile details regarding the future products of the company now.

The report quotes supply chain sources as saying that both the upcoming phones will be launched with flexible displays. This belief gains ground after Samsung placed some big orders with Taiwanese manufacturers. However, possibilities are that it may eventually end up being an entirely different version of the Galaxy S7, something akin to the Galaxy S6 Edge.
