Samsung New Device News: Tech Titan Launches Sleek Galaxy A8 with Finger-Print Sensor in China

Following several weeks of speculations, South Korean tech giant Samsung has finally launched the ultra-slim Galaxy A8 with finger-print sensor in China on Tuesday, July 14.

A latest report in IB Times states that the new Samsung Galaxy A8 measures only 5.9mm, making the device slimmest among all smartphones in the Galaxy series in the history oft the company. This device also boasts a metal chassis in the region of its edges, thereby giving an impression of being a premium handset. Moreover, the sturdy structure of the device helps it to survive accidental drop.

One of the significant features of the new Samsung Galaxy A8 includes the new and improved finger-print scanner at the base of its home, something similar to what is found in the current marquee phones of Samsung - the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

The other predetermined features of Galaxy A8 include a 5.5-inch full HD display along with 401 ppi (pixels per inch). It runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is backed by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB/ 32 GB inbuilt memory space. In the camera front, Galaxy A8 features a 16 megapixel main rear camera and a 5 megapixel snapper on the front.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Availability

Meanwhile, the South Korean tech titan has confirmed that initially the 16 GB and 32 GB variants of the Galaxy A8 will be initially released in China. However, the company is yet to announce the price details of the new Samsung Galaxy A8.

In addition, Samsung has also not announced the availability of Galaxy A8 in other markets.
