Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 News & Rumors: September Release Date Confirmed?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will reportedly launch along with the Galaxy Note 7, which means it will be available sooner than later.

According to GSM Arena, the South Korean company confirmed the news about the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 on its Colombian website.

The Galaxy Note 7 was already launched on Aug. 19 in North America and Australia, so the company must not mean that. However, it will launch in the UK on Sept. 2.

News about the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has been sparse, other than the device being expected to be more powerful than its predecessor.

The S2 had an AMOLED screen with 2048x1536 pixel resolution. It's not clear if the new device will show off 4K screen but it's highly unlikely.

Leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 seemed to show that it has reverted to 16:10 aspect ratio from 4:3. Its predecessor had two variants: eight inches and 9.7 inches. The alleged specs also point to an Exynos 7 Octa 8890 chip, which boasts of a 2.3GHz clock speed, or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820, which is also built on a 14nm circuitry.

Regardless of which the Tab S3 uses, both chipsets have the same download rate of 600Mbps. For now, however, there's no word about the memory and storage of the device. Rumors, however, are pointing to a 32GB or 64GB internal storage with expandable microSD slots.
