Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 Specs & Release Date Rumors: New Leaks Reveal ‘Shorter and Wider’ Device

A Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 specs leak has been recently revealed during the weekend following uploads found on the Chinese wireless regulator TENAA website, a listing for Bluetooth Certification, and a Wifi certification as well found on TechGadgetz.

The upcoming successor's specifications were fully revealed in all 3 which could be an upheaval to competitors as it will sport an 8.0 AMOLED capacity touch screen with 1024 x 728 pixel resolution. It is shorter and wider than its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, taking a 208.4 x 137.9 x 7.4 mm in dimensions. Although a model, SM-P355C, is expected to be a bit heavier found on the certificates.

The future flagship tablet will come in two models, one mentioned above and Samsung SM-T355C. Both will be sporting a black or white palette for their physical build. As for the processor, both models will run with an impressive 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor, paired with 2 GB worth of RAM, and the choice of 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB storage. Once it will be handed over to production, it will have an initial Android 5.0 Lollipop OS that includes the recent smooth UI to boot.

Interestingly, the camera will have 2 mega pixel upfront and 5 mega pixel at the back with auto-focus.

There has been feedback that this might not be a Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 but a tablet under the Tab A series. The feedback comment was found on GSMArena.

"My Samsung rep said that this product (Tab A, not 5) should be hitting the market in May," according to a commenter aliased as G, an AT&T Manager.

However, the information given cannot be conclusive as Samsung has not confirmed such information and if AT&T would be involved in marketing the device. Other rumors have purportedly mentioned that the upcoming Tab 5 may include the S Pen as accessory which is part of the smaller Samsung Note devices.
