Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date News, Specs Rumors: Newest Flagship Gets Design Change?

The S7 hasn't warmed up the store shelves yet, and now the rumors about the Samsung Galaxy s8 have already started.

According to Digital Spy, rumors have been going around about the markedly design change in the new flagship compared to its predecessor. Although the South Korean company managed to produce what may be considered luxurious-looking in terms of design, it still retained much of the familiar look of the S6.

"Exactly what the Samsung Galaxy S8 will look like remains a mystery. What we do know, however, is that it probably won't look like the S7," it said.

The rumors are rife about the dual-edge design of the S7 to translate to the Samsung Galaxy S8. But there's also some news reports from mainstream outlets pointing to a foldable screen for the future mobile phone by the South Korean firm.

If it's going to institute massive changes, making the Samsung Galaxy S8 be the phone to feature foldable screen would be the perfect formula to take the shine away from Apple's iPhone 7.

Meanwhile, Trusted Reviews shared the rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 feature 4K display in preparation for VR connectivity. It's also said to feature a dual-lens cam, probably to compete with the iPhone 7.

"Samsung has a reputation for building bloody good phones, so it would be surprising - and frustrating - if the Galaxy S8 was any different," it said.

The release date for Samsung Galaxy S9, according to the latest rumors, will be either March or April of next year.
