The Samsung Galaxy series has been steadily rising to dominate the high end smart phone market in the past few years. The sleek design, practical features and relatively more affordable prices are among the main reasons why the brand has gained loyal customers. It has become popular beyond the original geek market.

Samsung has a demographic of its own but it also has an appeal to a wider population of smart phone users. Samsung was able to establish itself as a premium brand through its dependable S-series. The S-series fans are now getting excited about the Galaxy S7 and many are speculating about its probable release date and possible upgrades.

Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S7 are partly fuelled by the past trends and also by the consistent improvements on the look and function of the smart phone. Many of the rumors are not totally arbitrary.  These are based on educated guesses and known facts.

For instance, one of the most recent rumors is centered on the speculation about the possible new processor, which is the Snapdragon 820. The new phone is also likely to include a pressure-sensitive ClearForce display but many of the S6 designs are likely to be retained in the new phone.

On the other hand, when speculating about the probable date of release, it would be helpful to refer to the previous release dates. The three previous models of the S-series were all released in April. Hence, the likely release of the newest Samsun Galaxy will be in the month of April 2016. The likely date of formal announcement is February 21, 2016 during the Mobile World Congress.
