Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge Specs, Release Date Rumors: Display, Battery, Camera Unveiled; Price Not Going Up

In line with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, details on their specs, price, and release have been unveiled.

According to Venture Beat, Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are set to have microSD card slots. The feature was not included in the tech giant's Galaxy S6, which left many fans and Samsung phone users surprised. While the lack of a microSD slot made the Galaxy S6's storage capabilities less than its competitors, the device was still undeniably one of the best phones of 2015, as per Expert Reviews UK.

Both Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will feature an AMOLED display at 1440 by 2560 pixels, Exynos 8 Octa 8890 or Snapdragon 820 depending on location, quadcore 2.3 GHz and quadcore 1.6 GHz processors, 4GB memory, 32GB or 64GB storage plus microSD storage of up to 200GB, as per Phone Arena.

In terms of battery, the Galaxy S7 is set to have 3000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge is having more power with 3600 mAh. The former will feature 5.1" display while the latter features 5.5" screen display.

With regard to the price of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, it is not expected to go over the Galaxy S6's 599 pounds, according to The Week UK. As per the publication, the succeeding generations of Samsung's mobile device product line are also set to have the same price. However, the upcoming phone could be more than 10 percent cheaper than the Galaxy S6 to lure Apple users, according to Daily Mail.

Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are rumored to be released this February.
