Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumors, News: South Korean Tech Titan’s Next Flagship May Feature Dual Camera
Although there have been numerous rumors about Samsung's new flagship smartphone, dubbed Galaxy S7, new details regarding the purported device have started emerging. Latest details suggest that the purported Galaxy S7 will be a treat for all photography lovers.
According to Christian Today, latest reports claim that Samsung is preparing a dual camera system for the smartphone. This system is akin to the HTC One M8, wherein one camera captures the photo, while the second one detects the depth and other details that will enable users to adjust the focal point of the image and lots more.
As far as the other specs of the purported Samsung Galaxy S7 are concerned, the device is expected to sport a 5.7-inch display, which is a slight upgrade from the current 5.1-inch Galaxy S6. Moreover, speculations are rife that the Galaxy S7 will come in two sizes, the other one being as big as its predecessor - Galaxy S6 Plus.
Some reports originating from South Korea also claim that the Galaxy S7 will have two versions. However, instead of 5.1 inches, the first version will feature a 5.2-inch display and the second will come with a much more sizable 5.8-inch touchscreen, and not 5.7 inches.
A few earlier leaks also indicated that the purported Galaxy S7 units will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, while the greater portion of the supply will have Samsung's proprietary Exynos M1 chipsets. According to Tech Times, the upcoming flagship device will also be one of devices that Samsung will launch with 6 GB of RAM.
Recently, the South Korean tech giant announced that they are planning to manufacture the first ever smartphone with 12Gb LPDDR4 mobile DRAM, which means devices with a whopping 6 GB RAM. It is very likely that the Galaxy S7 will be one of its smartphones that will house this memory.
The purported Galaxy S7, code-named Project Lucky, is also being touted to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is expected to offer 64 GB of storage space for users' favorite apps, games as well as memory-preserving photos as well as videos.
