Samsung Galaxy S6 Specs Rumors: New Flagship Smartphone Comes in Four Colors & Two Variants?
Although the highly-anticipated smartphone - Samsung Galaxy S6, will be launched soon, possibly at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, the South Korean tech manufacturer has still not released any details regarding the upcoming handset. Nevertheless, with each passing day, there are new reports regarding the device's features.
According to Latin Post, there are speculations that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available in four colors. SamMobile quotes a source who claims that the Galaxy S6 as well as its edge variant may be available in dark blue, blue-green, gold and white.
It is also being speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will come in two variants - a "standard" variant and an "Edge" model. The company introduced its Edge line with the Galaxy Note Edge, and it is believed that the basis of the Galaxy S6 Edge will remain the same. It is likely that the Galaxy S6 Edge will have a curved display that will extend to the sides, offering the device screen a sophisticated look when it is face down. According to SamMobile, the side panels of the Galaxy S6 Edge will have a further improved interface compared to the Galaxy Note Edge.
In terms of specs, nothing is certain as of now. However, there are rumors that the Galaxy S6 will come with a 5-inch or 5.2-inch QHD display, a Mali-T760MP6 GPU, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and either a 16-megapixel or 20-megapixel rear-facing camera. It seems that all the Galaxy S6 handsets will pack Samsung's own eight-core Exynos 7420 processor. Earlier, the Galaxy S handsets shipped by Samsung to the United States and some other countries generally packed a Qualcomm chip.
However, at this stage, all these reports are just speculations. Currently, the Galaxy S6 is said to be going through some rigorous testings - owing to the miserable performance of the Galaxy S5, which was released in 2014. According to reports, Samsung is testing multiple designs with a view to resolve any problem that may arise. All said and done, consumers can definitely expect a smartphone that is much slimmer as well as more stylish compared to all previous Galaxy S phones.
