Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs & Price Rumors: Device to Cost Roughly $860?
In the world of gadgets, all one can talk about is the expected release date of the all new Samsung Galaxy S6. The new specifications, features, and the price, have excited more than a few gadget fanatics. Although everything about the phone remains a mystery, speculations never stop when its about the latest gadget in town.
With the Samsung sales showing a slump and the third quarter of the financial year not doing so well for the company, there might be a lot more to expect from the latest release from Samsung, which might release no sooner than later.
Coming to the specifications, various gadget sites speculate different things for the new phone. One can expect either Snapdragon 810 quad-core processor or a Qualcomm or Samsung's own Exynos 7420 for its CPU.
The screen could be something similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, with the AMOLED display, and rumored to be around 5.5 inches. The Operating System, without a doubt, would be the latest in town, the Android Lollipop.
While all the other specifications may be more or less predictable, the one thing that is on everyone's mind is whether Samsung will go for plastic or metal. The phone could either follow other models such as Samsung Galaxy A5 or Galaxy A3, which has customized metal in its design, according to CNET.
The most unique part of any phone, its camera, many speculate could offer a more defined front camera and a back camera with a better resolution. After its show off at the CES 2015, the gadget is expected to have a QHD 1440x2560 pixel resolution display, according to the Dutch site TechTastic.
According to V3, the Galaxy S6 might have a curved screen handset or curved display, metallic sides and a rubberized backplate or even an aluminum chassis smartphone.
According to a report at Business Insider, Samsung will be launching a second version of the Galaxy S6 alongside the metal version. This model reportedly will feature a curved display, similar to that seen on the Galaxy Note Edge.
The cost of the phone is estimated to be somewhere around $860, according to various sources.
