Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs, Latest Rumors: Device to be Unveiled at MWC 2015?

Samsung is a strong competitor in the tough world of fast-changing, innovative mobile devices. Every few months a new smartphone or smart device is released to out-show, out-class, and out-tech the other phones on the market. Even though Samsung's newest Galaxy phone has a dual-edge display, the company may have lost its edge when the phone details were leaked before it could present it.

Samsung was supposed to use the Mobile World Congress in March to reveal its sparkling new flagship: the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Unfortunately, details about the phones were leaked, taking away from some of the surprise of their upcoming announcement.

Or perhaps not? The leaked information is certainly drawing a lot of attention to the mobile devices. Last year, the Galaxy S5 was so similar to the Galaxy S4 that the tech community proclaimed disappointment rather than excitement over Samsung's announcement. This year, Samsung has made an obvious effort to change its audience's minds.

GSM Arena reported that the Galaxy S6 display will be upgraded to a 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display, compared to the S5 1920 x 1080 display. The Galaxy S6 Edge will be like an updated Galaxy Note Edge with its signature curved display. Samsung gave Edge a dual-edge display so that there is a second display on the left side. Like the original Note Edge, the new tech will support "panels" for apps.

No more juicy details have been released yet, but already the Galaxy S6 seems to be a vast improvement. What do you think; is the Galaxy S6 on your wishlist this year?
