Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date News: Invites Sent Out for Special Event on March 1
Finally, Samsung has confirmed that it will be unveiling its much anticipated flagship handset - Galaxy S6, on March 1, just a day ahead of the inauguration of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015. The South Korean tech manufacturer has already sent invites for the "Unpack" event, which generally marks the introduction of a new Galaxy S or Galaxy Note and this year it will possibly be the Galaxy S6.
Stuff TV has claimed that the white stripe at the center of its modest type card suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will come curved, or possibly a variant of the device will be curved. It is being rumored that the tech firm is likely to also unveil the purported the Samsung Galaxy Edge, which is reported to be a Galaxy S6 model with both its rims slanted.
Several reports have suggested that the upcoming Galaxy S6 will not only be a powerful handset, but distinctive too. Apparently, Samsung took this decision after recent reports that the new Snapdragon 810 was plagued with alleged overheating issues.
Most recent reports claim that Samsung plans to incorporate new software into the upcoming Galaxy S6 with a view to face up to the Apple Pay, which was launched recently. The South Korean plans to achieve this by launching its own new mobile payment system.
GSM Arena reports that Samsung has entered into a partnership with Visa for its new mobile payment system that will be using the LoopPay technology, which will enable users to make payments at sale terminals using cards powered by LoopPay. This system will function with a fingerprint sensor. In addition a non-swipe one will be incorporated into the Galaxy S6.
