Samsung Galaxy S6 Price News, Rumors: Country-Wise Cost Listings of New Samsung Flagship Devices

While the South Korean tech titan has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, it has yet to announce the pricing details for the new devices. As a result, new speculations continue to flood the Internet, and this Tuesday, tech website SammyHub published a list of country-wise prices for the Galaxy S6 as well as the curved display variant, the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Quoting the price list on the tech website, IB Times reports that it is expected that the Galaxy S6 will have a starting price tag of €699 euros ($747) in Austria, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Spain, while the starting price tag for the Galaxy S6 Edge is expected to be €849 euros ($907). In Latvia and Lithuania, retailers may offer customers an additional Samsung's screen care insurance.

According to the report, it is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will sell for 5,499 Danish kroner ($788) in Denmark, while the Galaxy S6 Edge will come for 6,499 Danish kroner ($931). In Norway, the Galaxy S6 is expected to sell for 6,590 Norwegian kroner ($812), while the Galaxy S6 Edge is likely to be priced 7,990 Norwegian kroner ($985). The starting price of the Galaxy S6 is likely to be 699 Swiss francs ($699), while the Galaxy S6 Edge will carry a starting price of 849 Swiss francs ($849) in Switzerland.

While majority of the key markets will start selling the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge April 10, there are some countries which will have their own dates for selling the two devices. For instance, in Kazakhstan, the company will be receiving preorders from March 22 and will start selling the smartphones from April 17. In Sweden, the Galaxy S6 will be sold from April 10 at a starting price of 6990 Swedish kroner ($815).

According to earlier reports, the Galaxy S6 is expected to cost no less than $50 compared to the Galaxy S5 in the U.S. The device may carry a staring price of approximately $699, based on an estimated retail value detailed in the rules of a giveaway hosted by carrier T-Mobile.

However, majority of the U.S. carriers have yet to share the price details on their launch dates; but Verizon says it will start accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge from April 1.

In the U.K., the Galaxy S6 Edge, with 32GB of internal storage, is likely to cost at least 699 euros ($747). It is, however, expected that consumers in the U.K. may only avail the 64GB version, which is likely to cost €799 euros ($853), while the 128GB model may come for €899 euros ($960).
