Samsung Galaxy S6 New Specs Rumors: ‘The Next Galaxy’ Teaser Hints Device Features Wireless Charging [VIDEO]

After announcing that it will unveil its upcoming flagship smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, at a special event on March 1, the South Korean tech manufacturer is now teasing the features of the much-anticipated device. Recently, the company has teased that the Samsung Galaxy S6 may sport wireless charging - something new to the smartphone realm.

IBTimes reports that on Tuesday, Samsung posted a 21-second video on Twitter, which, according to some, on is an indication that its upcoming device will come with a wireless charging, mainly because the "S" in the video has been displayed in the form of a lightning bolt. In the video, a narrator says, "The faster I am, the more that gets done. And the more time I can give to others," while the frame shifts from an apartment window to a busy city view. The video clip concludes with the tag line "I am #TheNextGalaxy" alongside an icon in the form of a lightning blot.

Apart from this, Samsung has also hinted that the Galaxy S6 could incorporate a wireless charging in another way. A recent post on Samsung Tomorrow blog, owned by the South Korean manufacturer, talks about wireless smartphone charging as an industry standard. In the blog post, Seho Park, Samsung principal engineer, explores into the growing popularity of wireless charging for smartphones, also for several devices and appliances. Park further hinted that in 2015 Samsung will concentrate more on wireless charging for its devices.

The report quotes Park as writing, "Samsung will accelerate to democratize this wireless charging technology with compelling smartphones. With our upcoming Galaxy smartphones, users will be able to enter a new wireless world like never before."

While it has npt yet been ascertained whether or not Samsung has updated its wireless charging technology, the teaser also refers to speed, which, many believe, suggests the processing speed.

Recently, Samsung announced its Exynos 7420 chip, which the company is likely to incorporate in the Galaxy S6. According to Samsung, the chip is 30 percent to 35 percent more power-efficient compared to other available standard chips. Many leaked benchmarks hint that the Galaxy S6 clocks processing speeds that greatly surpasses those of devices available in the market now.
