Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to Release in Limited Supply?
Contrary to the expectations of the consumers, Samsung did not display any of its forthcoming smartphones at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas so far.
Instead, the South Korean tech manufacturer has emphasized on its latest curved television sets and monitors. According to Christian Today, this has led many to believe that the company will soon come out with other curved devices, including smartphones,specifically the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The website reports that there are continuous rumors about one variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 that will be similar to the Galaxy Note Edge. Moreover, and as it's similar to the Galaxy Note 4 as well as the Note Edge, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge will purportedly have the same specs and features - barring the fact that the screen of the latter extends to the side.
Both these handsets will features 5-inch screen quad HD displays, Snapdragon 810 SoC or octa-core Exynos 7 chip, 3 GB of RAM, and 16-MP or 20-MP rear cameras.
In addition, both these devices will run on Google's latest mobile operative system, the Android 5.0 Lollipop, in addition to Samsung's own TouchWiz UI. Additionally, rumors are also rife that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge have Seinnheiser earbuds in response to the HTC and Beats partnership.
It is also rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be a limited edition device. In other words, the device will be produced and marketed in limited quantities. If latest reports are to be believed, just 10 million Galaxy S6 Edge units will be sold.
The reports also added that the first batch of the Galaxy S6 Edge will actually test the market to see whether the consumers receive the smartphone well.
Similar rumors appeared when Samsung released the Galaxy Note Edge was released. However, the Korean manufacturer has not confirmed whether the device will be a limited edition handset.
