Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo News: Device Listed Online with Complete Specifications & Price
It is somewhat routine for the South Korean tech titan Samsung to roll out different variants of its flagship smartphones. While the company replaces its 2014 flagship device Galaxy S5 with the Galaxy S6 this year, recently a latest Galaxy S5 Neo variant was noticed on a Dutch retail website .
IB Times reports that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo spotted on the retail website carries a model number of SM-G930F. Recently, this device was granted a Wi-Fi certification, suggesting that it would be released soon. According to Phone Arena, eventually, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo has been listed on the Dutch online retailer, Belsipel.
The Galaxy S5 Neo comes in three color options - black, gold and silver. Belsipel has lists the monthly service plans for the device from three Dutch cellular operators.
The handset sports a 5.1 inches Super AMOLED display offering a display resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. In other words, it produces a pixel density of 432 ppi.
The Galaxy S5 Neo is powered by the Exynos 7580, featuring an octa-core processor of 1.6 GHz and Mali T720 graphics. The chipset is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. According to GSM Arena, the Exynos chip delivers slower performance compared to the Snapdragon 801 that powers the company's flagship device, Samsung Galaxy S5. The device comes preinstalled with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The device offers 16 GB internal storage, which can be increased up to 32 GB via microSD card on its externals storage. The main rear camera of the Galaxy S5 Neo is 16-megapixels, while the front-facing snapper is a modest 5-megapixel. The device offers up to 300 Mbps download speed on 4G connectivity via its Cat.6 LTE modem. In addition, the device packs a moderate 2,800 mAh battery unit.
As far as the external features of the device are concerned, the Galaxy S5 Neo has a slim outline of 8.1 mm. The device measures 142 x 72.5 and weighs 145 grams and its design is somewhat similar to that of the Galaxy S5.
In terms of price, the Galaxy S5 has been listed for 429 euros ($475). However, as of now, Samsung is yet to officially announce the device.
