Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Release Date: July 2014, Coming First to Russia
The miniature version of Samsung's flagship phone will be available for purchase this month. The smaller 4.5-inch version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a lot of the same features as the bigger model. The S5 Mini will have the IP67 water-resistant certification, the power-saving mode, the heart-rate monitor as well as the fingerprint scanner.
The Mini S5 won't have the same specs as the bigger S5, but it will surely be a remarkable for a gadget its size. The S5 Mini will have a 4.5-inch display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution at 326 ppi. The Galaxy S5 in comparison sports a 5.1-inch display with 1080x1920 resolution at 432 ppi.
In terms of processor speed, the S5 Mini will be powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor with a 1.5 GB RAM. The Galaxy S5 on the other hand has a quad-core 2.5GHz processor with a 2 GB RAM.
The other features of the S5 Mini are its 16 GB of built-in storage and up to 64 GB microSD support. The S5 Mini also has a 2,100 mAh battery, which can at least last one whole day even with rigorous use. The Mini also has an 8 MP camera, which is not bad for a miniature smart device.
While the Mini may have a lot in common with the bigger Galaxy S5, other differences may be somewhat severe. For example if the Mini is made of plastic, it would be prone to creaking as some plastic model smart devices do.
The Galaxy S5 Mini will be coming out first in Russia this July, but will slowly spread to other countries in the next few weeks. The phone will be available in black, white, blue, and gold.
