Samsung Galaxy Nougat Update & News: Release Date Set For Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge?

The Android Nougat was already available on the Google Nexus, but Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners do not have to wait long for the developer beta and the public release date.

Right now, however, the news reports are saying that the Samsung Galaxy Nougat update is near, but there's no specifics yet considering that the South Korean company hasn't really given any details yet.

This news article from Express, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are getting a Nougat update anytime soon. It pointed to the recent benchmark test by GeekBench on the S7 Edge, which scored 2016 on the single-core and 5587 on the multi-core.

While that does indicate that a phone manufacturer is ready to roll out the update, however, Express said that it did take Samsung about a year in between Android software updates.

In related news, the Grace UX is integrated into the Galaxy Note 7, along with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, with the Samsung Galaxy Nougat update. The user interface is included in Always On Display feature.

GSMArena reported that Grace UX is running smoother on the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge compared to the current UI. There's no way of knowing right now if it's because of the Samsung Galaxy Nougat update.

According to multiple news reports, the Android 7.0 Nougat is available on the Nexus and Pixel lines, except for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.
