Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Release Date, News: Upcoming Flagship To Be Curved Or Flat?

A new leak regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 disproved previous news debates about whether the new flagship will be curved or flat.

Apparently, if the rumors are to be believed, there are actually two variants of the Note 7.

Tech Radar pointed out that the logos of the Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Note 7 seemed to have "two different shaped screens," which may lend credence to the rumors that there's going to be a curved phone.

The new leak also confirmed earlier news about the South Korean company skipping a number to go straight to the "7" line.

"Of course it's worth noting that these logos would be trivial to fake, or, as they're virtually identical, the one reading Galaxy Note 7 Edge could be real and simply have had that final word erased to fake the other one," it said.

The Twitter account also leaked the rumors specs for the 5.77-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which interestingly doesn't adopt the Snapdragon 823 as earlier reported. According to the specs, it's going to have a fingerprint and iris scanner, a 12MP main camera and 5MP front snapper, 64 GB of storage, 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 820 or 821.

However, there's no official news about the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Speculations alleged that its' going to be in August 2016. The article also doubted the report about the two variants for the phone, and instead bet on the curved phone for the new flagship.
