Following the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall, the South Korean tech giant now has another problem on its hands as the latest news reveals that a national class action lawsuit has been filed against the company.

On its website, US law firm McCuneWright then urged people who purchased the phone to contact them and join the lawsuit against Samsung, which announced on Sept. 2 that it's stopping all production and sales of the phone.

"If you purchased or financed a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, find out if you are eligible for this class action lawsuit against Samsung," the law firm said.

This is another blow for the company following the initial Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall. The company already spent about $1 billion in recalling all its products. But the damage could be even more extensive as its stock price also reportedly dropped.

Rumors have been going around about the company rushing to release the Galaxy S8 in order to take attention away from the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall.

However, the problem just hounds Samsung, partly because of how it has handled complaints related to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery problem, New York Times reports.

The newspaper reports of a recent incident in Tianjin, China, involving a video by Zhang Sitong whose Note 7 started to smoke. Two Samsung employees reportedly offered a new phone along with around $900 just to take down the video.

Zhang said he purchased the phone despite the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall because all the latest news reports are claiming the problem doesn't exist in China. He said the company is "cheating Chinese consumers."
