Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Leak, Specs Rumors: Galaxy Series Set To Skip A Number?
There have been some rumors saying that the Samsung Galaxy series will skip a number. So there's a chance that there won't be a Galaxy Note 6 but rather a Galaxy Note 7 already. Is this a marketing plan to keep up with the Apple iPhone?
According to Vine Report, Steve Hemmerstoffer, an editor for NoWhereElse, a French website, shared a photo online which shows a dark number seven on it and says "7 is THE NEXT NOTE" just below it. The image created a little bit of noise online, creating speculations that there might be a number jump in the Samsung Galaxy series.
There's no confirmation yet when it comes to how much the Galaxy Note 7 would cost. However, for the Galaxy Note 5, the price started at around $200 with a contract last year.
According to the Inquirer, the Galaxy Note 7 will be the first smartphone with 6GB of RAM. That's very powerful, in fact, it might even be the most powerful RAM ever put on a handheld device. Samsung recently launched a proprietary LPDDR4 6GB DRAM chip in China, something to take note of for future reference.
Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy Note 7 will feature an iris scanner for security purposes. The phone will still have a fingerprint sensor despite the added security feature. This has been backed up by a leaked screenshot obtained by Priceraja, which shows that the device will offer Lumia 950-style eye-scanning security.
In addition, according to Slash Gear, there will be an alternative version of the device which will feature a 5.5in Full HD screen, 4GB of RAM and a conservative Snapdragon 820 chip.
