Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Date, Specs News: Bigger and Better Phablet to Launch September 2015?
According to various reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to release sometime around September of this year. Although, Samsung still hasn't confirmed anything about the release date, the Internet is flooded with people speculating about the launch date and the specifications of the phablet.
The device is expected to come with different features and specifications, but most of the features will be similar to its predecessor and the Galaxy S6. The special feature that the device is expected to have is the 4K Ultra HD Super AMOLED display with a stagger 748 pixels per inch, according to Phone Arena.
According to other reports, the device is also expected to have a 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD display with .89-inch display while a dual edge variant of the handset could feature 5.78-inch curved display.
According to International Business Times, Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and packed with at least 8GB RAM, while other reports suggest that the device may be powered by Exynos 7420 SoC contrasting the previous with Qualcomm chips.
On the other hand, there are also rumors that instead of Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm, the Galaxy Note 5 will sport an Exynos 7420 SoC, which also means eight cores, but of two different kinds -four Cortex A57 cores and four Cortex A53 cores, according to 4K.
The current Galaxy Note 4, which was released in October last year, features a 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and 515ppi. The existing Galaxy Note Edge, on the other hand, sports a 5.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and 524ppi.
Another feature recently introduced by the Galaxy S6 which could feature prominently in the Galaxy Note 5 is wireless charging. Other reports suggest that the device may have a metal body bonded to a glass rear, similar to the Galaxy S6.
