Samsung Galaxy Note 5 News: Specs, Features & Price Roundup

Samsung continues to engineer its mobile devices so that they are competitive enough to match Apple's upcoming releases. Some of the smartphones soon to be released by Samsung are the Galaxy Note 5, which is a premium level phone.

They have also recently released Galaxy S6 Active, which matches active lifestyles.

Rumors have been floating around about the release of the next generation of the Galaxy Note 5. It may be released earlier than expected in order to get a head start on the upcoming iPhone releases, according to Tech Times.

The report cited rumors which came out in May, which suggested that a July release may be in store for the Galaxy Note 5, which is a change from the traditional September launch.

According to reports, Samsung wants to release earlier with the aim to prevent being overshadowed, as Apple has planned the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus release for September 2015.

However, in a report from GSM Arena, J.K. Shin, the CEO of Samsung, denied this rumor immediately, maintaining that the new generation of their phablet would be released in August or the first week of September.

This generation of Samsung's Galaxy Note is reported to feature either a quad HD or Ultra HD display with a higher resolution.

It has also been indicated that the device will be powered by an octa core Exynos processor that was developed specifically by Samsung, with a RAM of 4 GB.

The Note 5 is also rumored to have 3D imaging capabilities, courtesy of the dual rear camera set up. The phone will have a massive 5.89 inch display with a 2K resolution.
