Samsung Galaxy Note 5 News: New Leaked Video Hints Specs Before September Launch [VIDEO]

As the September release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 draws closer, rumors and speculations continue to flood the Internet. Recently, a video displaying the 3D model of the upcoming phablet has surfaced online drawing attention to some major details of the handset.

According to a report in IB Times, tipster @onleaks revealed via NWE that the design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phablet bears resemblance to the flagship Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. Contradicting the earlier rumors, the new video shows that the screen of the device is likely to be flat. However, the edges on rear side of the device will be curved.

There are other areas where the Galaxy Note 5 resembles the Galaxy S6. For instance, as with the Galaxy S6, the battery unit of the Galaxy Note 5 will be nonremovable. At the same time, the device is expected to pack a killer battery unite having a capacity of 4,100 mAh. As of now, there is no hint whether the card slot on the left side of the device will be used for a SIM card or a microSD card. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that the Galaxy S6 does not come with the expandable memory option.

Meanwhile, the purported specifications of the Galaxy Note 5 as showcased in the new video appear to be in consistent with the previously leaked cases, regarding layout. In addition, it seems that the upcoming the handset will not feature a type-C USB port. Instead, it will feature the same microUSB 2.0 of previous devices. According to GSM Arena, the cut-out for the S-Pen stylus shown in the video hints the device may come with an auto-ejectable pen.

Then again, the video apparently shows the dimensions of the Galaxy Note 5 to be 153.4 x 77.3 x 10.2 mm (6.03 x 3.04 x 0.4 inches).
