Samsung and Apple are two of the biggest tech companies today. The said companies have established their reputation in the market, and at the same time, gained some loyal customers.
In the coming months, the two companies will go head to head in the phablet market, since both of them will have flagship phablet devices on the market.
Last month, Apple revealed to the public its first take on a big screened smartphone, the iPhone 6 Plus. Incorporated with the latest technology from the Cupertino-based tech company, reports say that the smartphone is good enough to take on the Galaxy Note series, which will be releasing its latest model in October.
A comparison between the two devices should help prospecting consumers that are still sitting on the fence. Here is a comparison between some of the features of iPhone 6 Plus and the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.
Processor
Apple's iPhone 6 Plus runs on a 1.4Ghz Apple A8 dual-core processor, while Galaxy Note 4 will come with a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 806 processor.
Display
The iPhone 6 Plus offers a 5.5-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The Galaxy Note 4 features a slightly bigger Super AMOLED 5.7-inch screen, with a higher pixel resolution of 1460 x 2560.
Dimensions
In terms of weight, Galaxy Note 4 is 4g heavier than the iPhone 6 Plus, which only weighs 172 g.
The iPhone 6 Plus is said to be longer and slimmer with dimensions of 6.2 x 3.1 x 0.27 inches compared to Galaxy Note 4's 6 x 3.1 x 0.33 inches.
Memory
Apple's flagship smartphone offers more variety in terms of memory capacity, since it is available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants.
Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, is only available in 32GB. The South Korean tech company phone, however, features an expandable memory option of up to 128GB via memory card.
Camera
The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a primary camera of 8-megapixel iSight camera with OIS, dual-LED flash, autofocus,HDR, and a 1.2-megapixel secondary camera, while Galaxy Note 4 a 16-megapixel camera with OIS, autofocus, LED flash, and a 3.7-megapixel camera with OIS.
Operating System
Apple's iPhone 6 Plus runs on the newly released mobile operating system iOS 8, while Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Battery
The iPhone 6 Plus has a 2,915 mAH battery, while Galaxy Note 4 has a 3,200 mAh battery.
