Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Galaxy S5 Comparison: Review of Specs, Battery Life, Other Features

Two of Samsung's popular releases, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy S5, are currently out on the market, and there's no harm in comparing Samsung with its own work to see which device is better suitable for a user's needs.

Samsung is known for releasing some of the best and most noteworthy gadgets, and fans and gadget enthusiasts are always looking into how Samsung continues to improve its devices.

When it comes to the operating system and design, the Galaxy Note 3 comes with the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and has a screen that is 5.7 inches with 1080x1920 (386ppi) resolution. The Galaxy S5 runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop, comes with water and dust resistant screen, a screen that's 5.1 inches with 1080x1920 (432ppi) resolution.

Both phones come with Super AMOLED tech, light and proximity sensors and scratch-resistant glass.

As for the camera, the Galaxy Note 3 has a rear camera of 13 megapixels, a front camera of 2 megapixels and an LED flash, while the Galaxy S5 has a rear camera of 16 megapixels, a front camera of 2.1 megapixels and an LED flash.

When it comes to what's inside, the Galaxy Note 3 operates on a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon chip, comes with 3072 MB RAM and a 64 GB internal memory that expands up to 64 GB. The Galaxy S5 operates on a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon chip, comes with 2048 MB RAM and a 32 GB internal memory with an expansion of up to 128 GB.

With regards to the battery life, the Galaxy Note 3's 3200 mAh battery clocks in at 25 hours or 528 hours (22 days) while on standby, and the Galaxy S5's 2800 mAh battery clocks in at 21 hours or 390 hours (16.2 days) while on standby.

As it stands, both handsets are out on the market, however, the prices may vary on each device, depending on the country and store.
